Available Roles:
BROOKE ROGERS- female identified, 18+ to play 12 years old, pop mezzo. Bright and determined female lead in a spooky school play. She watches scary movies with a smile, but she’s not going to let anyone scare her away from playing her role. Best friends with Zeke and completely captivated by Brian.
ZEKE MATTHEWS – male identified, 18+ to play 12 years old, tenor. Best friends with Brooke since birth. Zeke loves scaring people and playing practical jokes, even though it sometimes gets him in trouble. Light hearted, funny, and bold. He plays the Phantom in the school play.
TINA POWELL – female identified, 18+ to play 12 years old, pop soprano with belt. She often wears two faces. She is obsessed with taking the leading role from Brooke, and she will manipulate, boss, and threaten until it is hers. Even though she is high-strung, she is actually an effective leader and has the capacity for kindness.
BRIAN COLSON – male identified, 18+ to play 12 years old, bari-tenor. A kind-hearted and polite charmer with old-fashioned sensibilities. A bit of a scaredy-cat. Brian is often on-edge. He has a deep affection for Brooke.
EMILE – male identified, 25-45, baritone/bass. Gruff and solitary. The night janitor of Woods Mill Middle school. Emile sees all. He is off-putting and doesn’t play by the rules, but he’s not necessarily dangerous.
WALKER – female identified, 30-55, alto. She is a no-nonsense but fittingly dramatic drama teacher. It’s not hard to convince her to tell a spooky story or theatre legend. She takes a lot of pride in her work, as it really is the family business. Her great-grandmother was a drama teacher at this very school.
