Overview
When stealing from a thief, there are no rules.
A band of criminals, torn apart by suspicion and betrayal, reunites for one last job. The target: a multi-million dollar ruby owned by an international jewel thief. When the plan goes sideways, they slowly realize that when stealing from a thief, there are no rules. Inspired by caper films like Ocean’s Eleven and The Sting, this high-stakes thriller is packed with double-crosses, disguises, and daring escapes.
Born at Constellation — now a runaway hit, grossing millions at box offices across North America — see the smash success return to where it all began!

Arun Lakra
Playwright
Arun Lakra has spent the last 20+ years dividing his work life between his creative pursuits and his medical career. His play Sequence won a bunch of awards – none greater than the Woodward/Newman Award – and has been produced across North America. His most recent play, Heist, was commissioned by your very own Chad Rabinovitz during his time at Bloomington Playwrights Project and will be seen on the main stages of five major regional theatres across Canada and the US in the upcoming 2026-27 season. Arun is also an ophthalmologist, and he enjoys sharing his embarrassing stories (from both worlds!) with medical students through his presentation, Mediscnes: Memories, Mistakes, and Lessons Learned from a Life in Medicine and the Arts. Arun lives in Calgary, Canada, with Roopa, Taro, Siya, and (woof) Zephy.
Chad Rabinovitz

Recent directing projects include the national tour of Penn & Teller Present: The Foolers, Glitches In Reality starring the reigning World Champion of Magic (Current Tour), The Jokers of Magic (upcoming tour), The Play That Goes Wrong (the best-selling show in the history of the Waldron Arts Center!), and the Off-Broadway production of The Life & Slimes Of Marc Summers (Off-Broadway Alliance Award Nominee), which started here in Bloomington! When not directing, Chad likes to launch sugary snacks at his space-themed candy store, THE CANDY SPACE, in Lake George, NY (thecandyspace.com) and manufactures his own brand of freeze-dried confections, SPACE CANDY, which can be found in the Smithsonian, Kennedy Space Center, and thousands of stores nationwide (gospacecandy.com).
