Kate Galvin (she/her)
Director
Kate Galvin has been in Bloomington since 2017, first as Artistic Director of Cardinal Stage, and then Constellation. In 2023, she shifted gears within the organization and now serves as Constellation’s Casting Director. Her directing work has been seen in Constellation’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Matilda, The Wizard of Oz, and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, as well as many Cardinal productions, including Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, The Glass Menagerie, The Christians and Fun Home. A Barrymore Award-winning director, her regional credits include 11th Hour Theatre Company, Fulton Theater, Pittsburgh CLO, Portland Stage, Walnut Street Theatre, Weston Theater Company and more. Ray Fellman (he/him)
Music Director
Ray Fellman, originally from the NYC area, serves as a music director, vocal coach, and voice teacher, for Indiana University’s BFA in Musical Theatre Program. He has conducted over 60 musicals off broadway, regionally and internationally, and performed in over 100 cabaret shows in major clubs in NYC and around the world. Career highlights include Stephen Schwartz’s Captain Louie (Little Schubert Theater/National Tour), which included a performance on The Today Show. Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, and West Side Story for Teatro Nacional Sucre in Quito, Ecuador directed by Chia Patiño. Regionally, the O’Neill National Music Theatre Conference, the Fulton Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, and Indiana Repertory Theatre. Ray’s cabaret work garnered him a Backstage Magazine Bistro Award for his work as music director of The After Party at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. In addition, he has performed at Feinstein’s, The Algonquin, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall, BB King’s, and the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in NYC. As a stage performer Ray has sung with such opera companies as Florida Grand Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, and New Orleans Opera, and been a featured soloist with multiple symphony orchestras including the St Louis Symphony and the Indianapolis Symphony. Vocal coaching and arranging credits include upcoming The Parenting on HBO Max, the film Ben is Back starring Julia Roberts, HBO’s Sharp Objects starring Amy Adams, and Twentieth Century Fox film Joy starring Jennifer Lawrence and Edgar Ramirez.

Pinching myself to be back at Constellation! Previously seen as “Sam” in The Break last summer. Other credits include; Milwaukee Rep, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Gretna Theatre, The Arden, Philadelphia Theatre Co, Gulfshore Playhouse, & many more! So grateful to Kate for her years of support, collaboration, & friendship. Thanks to this amazing team at Constellation as well as the incredible cast, especially my good buddy Ben for riding this roller coaster with me. Ben Michael (he/him)
Dan
Ben is very grateful to be working on this show with dear friends Alex and Kate, and to make new ones along the way. He was in the Original Broadway Cast of “Paradise Square” and the First National Tour of “An American in Paris” as Henri. Favorite Regional credits include: Beast in “Beauty and the Beast,” Jervis in “Daddy Long Legs,” and Cable in “South Pacific.” He is also a certified mindfulness meditation teacher through Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certificate Program.

Gabriel J Hill (Gabe) is a junior music theatre major from Baldwin Wallace hailing from Ann Arbor, MI, and is excited to join the cast of Next to Normal! Recent credits: Regional: Adam in Freaky Friday (Prescott Park Arts Fest.), Alfred/White Rabbit in Alice by Heart and Mark in Altar Boyz (Blank Canvas Theatre), Drew in Rock of Ages (Clinton Showboat), and Chip in …Spelling Bee (Cain Park). Other credits: Jesus Christ Superstar, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Urinetown. Gabriel is also a photographer and is a part of the competitive a cappella scene. Recently, he was nominated for a CARA for his arrangements. They would like to thank the creative team and the entire cast for all their hard work to bring the show together! @thegabrielj.hill

Claire is so excited to be making her debut at Constellation in Next to Normal! She has recently been seen as Alice Murphy in Bright Star at DYA, and the Elle Woods Standby in Legally Blonde the musical at IU! Claire is a Junior Studying Musical Theatre at IU, and she would like to thank her friends, family, and all loved ones for their everlasting support. She would also like to thank her amazing cast and crew for such an amazing experience! Be you, boo!

Jonah Broscow (he/him)
Henry
Jonah Broscow is thrilled to be returning to the Constellation stage after just appearing in the ensemble of The Kings Wife! He hails from Oakland, CA and is currently a Junior at Indiana University. Previous roles include Theo in Pippin (Broadway National Tour), Jimmy in The Man In The Ceiling (Bay Street Theater), Ralphie in A Christmas Story (SF Playhouse), and Marvin in Falsettos (IU University Players). He wants to thank his mom, dad, and sister for their constant love and support.

John Armstrong (he/him)
Dr. Fine / Dr. Madden
John is an actor, producer, and instructor with over 20 years of diverse experience in the entertainment industry. John is the co-founder of Indiana film company Pigasus Pictures and produced several successful feature films including The Good Catholic (Danny Glover, John C. McGinley). John’s acting credits include As You Like It (New York Classical Theatre), The Piper (NYMF and Irish Repertory, NYC), Seussical (National Tour), Macbeth (Indiana Repertory), Hamlet (title character, Freed PAC), and many more. John has performed locally in Santaland Diaries, Rounding Third, Tuning In, and Holmes & Watson for Constellation. John has been an instructor and professor at the New York Film Academy, Ohio Northern University, Indiana University, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse, and Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. John began his training in vocal performance at the Jacob’s School of Music at Indiana University and earned a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre and an MFA in acting in the Department of Theatre & Drama. John currently serves as director of development for major gifts in the college of arts and sciences at Indiana University.
