Travel down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy and Toto in a whimsical journey filled with iconic songs, like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “If I Only Had a Brain.” An absolute delight for audiences of all ages, The Wizard of Oz invites you to discover the magical power of home!

Pay What You Will Thursdays: To keep live performance affordable and accessible to our community, we’re offering a Pay What You Will Thursday performance for the first preview of The Wizard of Oz! Book tickets for our Thursday, December 12th performance and you’ll get to choose your own ticket price (starting at $10, plus a $4 Venue Preservation Fee). Just select your seats, then you’ll be prompted to choose your ticket price.

Community Access Tickets: Each season, Constellation provides approximately 250+ Community Access Tickets (or CATs) to community members who cannot otherwise attend a production. These tickets can be requested for any Constellation performance and are absolutely free of charge, no questions asked. Click here to complete the Community Access Ticket request form.

Then, follow Dorothy along the yellow brick road to the Buskirk-Chumley Theater for a 2:00pm Matinee performance of The Wizard of Oz! Limited space available.

Kate Galvin (she/her)
Director

Kate Galvin’s directing work has been seen in recent productions of Matilda the Musical, The Importance of Being Earnest, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Ada & the Engine, A Year with Frog & Toad, and Every Brilliant Thing. Kate is happy to be freelancing more these days as a director, casting director and coach, but continues to work for Constellation as Casting Director/Creative Producer. Kate is Barrymore Award-winning director of both musicals and plays, and has a passion for new musical development. Regional directing credits include 11th Hour, Fulton Theater, Pittsburgh CLO, Portland Stage, Walnut Street Theatre, Water Tower Theater and others. She is a graduate of NYU (Vocal Performance – Musical Theater) and Goldsmiths – University of London (Producing for Musical Theater). Tommy Bergeron 
Music Director

Tommy Bergeron is thrilled to be working on The Wizard of Oz as his first production with Constellation. Originally from Essex Junction Vermont, Tommy has worked as a music director and actor for various regional theaters across the country. As a music director, some of Tommy’s credits include: The Secret Garden, Cats, Little Shop of Horrors, Ring of FireThe Addams FamilySeussicalAnnie, and The Sound of Music. As an actor/musician, he has recently been seen onstage as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet. Tommy is a graduate of The Hartt School, where he received a BFA in Musical Theatre. DJ Gray (she/her)
Choreographer

DJ is a director, choreographer and performer. She performed on Broadway in The Producers. Broadway Associate choreography: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (On and Off-Broadway, and National Tour), Merrily We Roll Along (Encores! with Lin-Manuel Miranda), Sondheim on Sondheim, Xanadu (Broadway, National and Japan Tour, the Tonys, TV appearances). Regional theaters: Barrington Stage, Arizona Theatre Company, McCoy and Rigby, Musical Theatre West, Candlelight Pavilion, Musical Theater West, Northern Stage, 3D Theatricals, Moonlight Stage, Tri Arts, Sharon Playhouse, Florida Studio Theater and IUST. TV: Stephen Colbert Show, Emmy Award-winning The New Electric Company, NBC’s “The Year Without a Santa Claus”, reality TV show: Instant Beauty Pageant. DJ is the Area Head and a professor for the Musical Theatre BFA Program at Indiana University.

Betsy Scott is thrilled to step into the world of Oz! Betsy, a Musical Theatre graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, lives full time in New York City with her amazing boyfriend as they both pursue their dreams. When she’s not on stage, you can find her writing/producing her own music or enjoying a rooftop cocktail. Betsy would like to thank her friends and family, Mom, Dad, Jamie, Debra, Rob, Jeanne, Ethan, Mira, her teachers, and her partner Christian for their love and support. She’d also like to thank her Agents Lisa and Andrew at The Price Group for believing in her. Betsy is dedicating this performance to her late Aunt, Janiece Jaffe who continues to inspire her. Amanda (Biggs) Lawson
Aunt Em / Glinda

Amanda (Biggs) Lawson is a wife, mom, singer, teacher, and is thrilled to be spending the holiday season in Oz with this cast and crew! Rather than bore you with a list of achievements, however, she wants to wish you all a magical holiday filled to perfection with warmth, love, and laughter. Amanda is performing in memory of her grandma Sharon Rose and her friend Janiece Jaffe and family. She also gives immense love and gratitude to her mom, dad, and brothers for always believing she could fly! For Max and Miles for keeping her young at heart and on her toes! Special shout out to the students of BiggStudio and to Phoebe Mendota for all the years of good singing, giggles, and inspiration. For Krista Detor, the real wizard behind the curtain. And finally to her wife Terra for being her rainbow’s end AND solid ground!

Ronnie Johnstone (he/him)
Uncle Henry / Guard

Born and raised in sunny Southern California, Ronnie studied and worked the LA theatre circuit until 1991, when he moved to New York to pursue graduate studies. Ronnie is a veteran of the stage whose resume includes such diverse roles as John Merrick in The Elephant Man, Dr. Watson in Homes and Watson and Lenny in Of Mice and Men. Ronnie lives in Geist with his motorcycle, his Newfoundland and Lisa—who is God’s best handwriting.

Devin McDuffy (he/him)
Zeke / Lion

Devin McDuffy is a senior at IU pursuing a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. He is grateful and excited to spend another winter with Constellation! For IU Theatre: Forever Plaid (Smudge), Head Over Heels (Pythio), Cabaret (Herman/Max), Something Rotten (Shakespeare), Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Rov. Accordion/Ensemble), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Judah). Other credits include Cinderella (Lord Pinkleton), Magical Musical Cabaret (Vocalist), Elf: The Musical (Matthews/Ensemble), Heathers (Hipster Dork). He is from Indianapolis, IN and wants to thank all of his family and friends for all their support over the years!

Devin May (he/him)
Hickory / Tin Man

Devin May is appearing in his third Wizard of Oz on the Buskirk-Chumley stage! A proud Bloomington native and IU Theatre alum, Devin is an actor, director, and theatre educator with 100+ credits across Indiana, Kentucky, Chicago, Boston, and D.C. For Constellation, he was most recently seen in The True Story of the Three Little Pigs and The Importance of Being Earnest (Jack Worthing). Around the community, he directed MCCT’s The Comedy of Errors, as well as Stages Bloomington’s The Little Mermaid Jr. and The Laramie Project. He teaches drama classes at Fairview Elementary, and frequently teaches Constellation camps and classes. It fills his heart with joy to share the stage with munchkins he’s taught!

Evan Vaughan (he/him)
Hunk / Scarecrow

Evan Vaughan is a senior pursuing a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and is ecstatic to be back at Constellation this Fall/Winter! Indiana University credits: Something Rotten (Nick Bottom), Cabaret (Victor/Asst. Choreo), Into the Woods (The Baker), Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Andrey/Ensemble), Carrie: The Musical (Ensemble), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Asher) Other credits include 9 to 5 (Ensemble), Frozen (King Agnarr/Ensemble), Matilda (Ensemble/Asst. Choreo), Beautiful The Carole King Musical (Drifter/Ensemble). Evan is from Indianapolis, IN and wants to express thanks to his friends and family for all of their support!

Sarah Hund (she/her)
Miss Gulch / Wicked Witch of the West

Sarah Hund is happy to be making her Constellation debut! Favorite roles include The Witch, Into the Woods; Fantine, Les Miserables; Judy Bernly, 9 to 5 the Musical; Reza, Once; Alice Beineke, The Addams Family; Mary Smith, Run For Your Wife; Mary Lou, The Buddy Holly Story; Sarah, Ring of Fire; June, Smoke on the Mountain at such companies as Maine State Music Theatre, Portland Stage, Tuacahn, Ogunquit Playhouse, Walnut Street Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Beef & Boards, and Phoenix Theatre. With her band The Blue Eyed Bettys, Sarah has three albums (available on all streaming services), tours throughout the U.S., and has played Lincoln Center. TV: Law & Order: SVU. @sarahhund

Steve Scott (he/him)
Professor / Wizard

Steve Scott spent over thirty years teaching martial arts to the children of Monroe County before retiring. He started acting in 2012 and has appeared on stage, in front of a camera, or in front of a microphone over thirty times. His most recent performances were as Robert in Proof for Off Night Productions, and as Henry in Another Antigone for the Jewish Theater of Bloomington. Steve’s wife, Linda, absolutely loves The Wizard of Oz, and he wants everyone to know that when he told her he got the part of The Great Oz himself, she was like a kid in a candy store.

Nell Adkins (she/her)
Ensemble / Swing

Nell Adkins is thrilled to make her Constellation debut in The Wizard of Oz. A recent graduate of Smith College, Adkins is a production coordinator with Macaroni Art Productions, where she worked on a forthcoming, full-length feature film and a doc-series examining Kentucky’s food culture. As a writer, her essays have been published by 70 Faces Media, North America’s largest, most diverse, Jewish media organization. The one act play, “Ester Made Me Do It,” which she co-wrote and appeared in, premiered earlier this year at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

Jake Decker
Ensemble / Lion Understudy

Jake is in his second year in the Musical Theatre B.F.A. program at Indiana University. He is originally from Haubstadt, Indiana. He is thrilled to be a part of this production with great cast mates and a wonderful creative team.

Ensemble / Swing

Jocylon Evans is a junior Musical Theater Major at Indiana University! She is thrilled to join this cast and even more excited to work her third show at Constellation! She has recently been featured in Indiana University’s Production of Reefer Madness as (ensemble/Sally U/S) and Urinetown (Little Sally)!

Lucy Ferguson (she/her)
Ensemble / Dorothy Understudy

Lucy Ferguson is thrilled to perform in Constellation’s production of The Wizard of Oz after making her debut in Matilda (Ensemble) last December! Originally from St. Louis, she is a third year BFA Musical Theatre major at Indiana University. Regional: Indiana University Summer Theatre, Into the Woods (Ensemble, u/s Cinderella, Rapunzel). IU Mainstage: Reefer Madness (Mae), Head Over Heels (Ensemble, u/s Philoclea), Cabaret (Swing, u/s Kost), and Something Rotten! (Ensemble). Lucy would like to thank her friends & family for their continued love and support. Trey Perlut (he/him)
Ensemble / Scarecrow Understudy

Trey Perlut is so excited to be a part of Constellations production of The Wizard Of Oz. Raining from St.Louis Missouri, Trey is so exciting to be making his Constellation debut. Trey has also performed with a variety of theater companies in the past including Stages, Variety Children’s Theater, Second City, Muny, COCA and Fly North Theatricals. He has been involved in musical  theater since he was seven and has continued his performance training ever since. Trey is currently attending Indiana University Bloomington, to get a BFA in musical theater. Trey hopes that you love the show and have a great time watching as much as he has loved working on it. He wants to thank the team for putting this all together and for making the process so magical. And don’t forget to cheer as loud as possible because it really helps the energy of the actors!

Ensemble / Aunt Em/Glinda Understudy

Laura is thrilled to return for another holiday production at Constellation Stage & Screen! She is a fourth year BFA Musical Theatre major/Arts Management minor at IU, and was most recently seen as Mary Lane in Reefer Madness at IU Theatre. Other recent credits include: Miss Saigon (Gigi), Matilda (Acrobat/Dancer/Dance Captain), Cabaret (Rosie), Into the Woods (Milky White/Dance Captain), Something Rotten (Swing), and Sweeney Todd (Bird en pointe). Laura was also the choreographer for Broadway Bootcamp this past summer, and is so happy to work with our community’s youth artists again. Laura can be seen as Serena in IU’s upcoming production of Legally Blonde. She is endlessly grateful for the support of her family, friends, mentors, and Thomas! 

Nicole “Nikki” Stawski (she/her)
Ensemble / Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch Understudy

Nicole “Nikki” Stawski is so excited to be in her third show at Constellation Stage & Screen! She is from Granger, IN and is a senior at Indiana University pursuing a double major in Theatre and Media Advertising. Some of her recent credits include Heathers: The Musical (Veronica Sawyer) at Indiana University, The Little Mermaid (Ariel) and Seussical (Mayzie LaBird) at The Main Stage, Inc., Into the Woods (Florinda/Baker’s Wife u/s) at IUST, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (Julia) and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (Teenager) at Constellation Stage & Screen. Other credits include Shakespeare in Love (Viola de Lesseps), the world premiere of Vox Pop: a post-democratic musical (Troubadour 6), and Be More Chill (Brooke). In her free time, Nikki can be found doing freelance graphic design work, drinking a Diet Coke with lime, and spending time with her family and her dog, Fozzie. She wants to thank her wonderful family, caring boyfriend, and amazing friends for being so supportive of her theatrical career!
