Spooky fun for the whole family!

Get ready for a frightfully fun adventure with Goosebumps The Musical, based on the wildly popular books by R. L. Stine! When Brooke and Zeke are cast in their school’s spooky new play, The Phantom, they start to wonder if the show is actually cursed. As strange messages appear and rehearsals are disrupted by a mysterious masked figure, they must uncover the truth: is it all an elaborate prank… or is their theater truly haunted? Full of catchy songs, laugh-out-loud moments, and just the right amount of Halloween-season chills, this musical mystery is perfect for kids, tweens, and grown-ups who remember reading by flashlight. Fun for all ages!

Cast Meet and Greet: Stick around after the show to meet the cast and get autographs from your favorite characters!

Halloween Weekend Festivities: To celebrate Halloween weekend, audiences are invited to come in costume and enjoy trick-or-treating during the Meet & Greets following performances October 30–November 1.

Sensory-Friendly Performance

Sunday, November 15 at 4:00pm

Constellation offers select sensory-friendly performances for our Constellation for Kids series. This special performance is designed to create a theater experience that is welcoming to all families with children with sensory sensitivities. Tickets to Constellation’s Sensory-Friendly performances are Pay What You Will, meaning you get to choose your own ticket price (starting at $15, plus a $3 venue preservation fee). 

Accommodations for these performances include:

• Lower sound level, especially for startling or loud sounds
• Lights remain on at a low level in the theater during the performance
• Elimination of any strobe or flashing light sequences
• Patrons are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance
• More space in theater seating area for standing and movement
• Fidgets and noise canceling headphones welcome
• Resource materials available online and at performances, so families know what to expect at the theater and during the show.

Morgenstern Books’ Saturday Story Hour

Get in the Halloween spirit at this Saturday Story Hour, hosted by our friends at Constellation Stage & Screen. Inspired by their upcoming show R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps The Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium (on stage October 30 – November 15 at the Waldron Auditorium), Constellation will be reading The Little Shop of Monsters by R.L. Stine and other Halloween favorites. Free to attend — all are welcome!

Goosebumps: The Musical Mask Making Mayhem

Thursday, October 29 | 5:00pm – 6:30pm | Downtown Library (303 E Kirkwood Ave), Children’s Program Room

Inspired by Constellation Stage & Screen’s upcoming production of Goosebumps The Musical: The Phantom of the Auditorium (October 30–November 15), participants will create a one-of-a-kind mask fit for the mysterious Phantom. Along the way, we’ll explore how Constellation is bringing Goosebumps by R. L. Stine from the page to the stage through characters, costumes, and a little theatrical magic. Registration will open on October 1st!

Mitchell Ward (he/him)
Director

Mitchell Ward is a Midwest theatre maker who directed Constellation’s You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. He served as the stage manager for The Da Vinci Code, Séance: The Board Awakens, Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, The King’s Wife, The Break: A New Rock Musical, and Alex Gold: Stuck on Repeat. Mitch recently managed Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind at I.U. Theatre & Dance. Chicago credits include: The Displaced, Kiss (Haven Theatre); Romeo & Juliet (Teatro Vista); Muses (Water People Theatre); Flamingo & Decatur (Block St. Theatre Co.). Mitch was the assistant director for Fun Home (Kansas City Rep) and Peter and the Starcatcher (Arts Club, Vancouver B.C.). Mitchelljward.com

Andrew Becker (he/him)
Music Director

Andrew Becker is a music director, pianist, and conductor. He has served on the creative teams of numerous productions and has given more than 30 piano recitals since he began playing at age 8, earning him experience in both the musical theater and classical worlds. Andrew recently completed his summer appointment with Maine State Music Theatre, where he was Events and TYA Music Director, and Season Associate Music Director. Andrew made his Constellation debut in June 2025, when he was Associate Music Director and Conductor of The King’s Wife. He has previously held music director roles at Reimagining Opera for Kids and The Mac-Haydn Theatre. He holds an MM in Piano Performance from Indiana University, and a BM in Piano Performance from Ithaca College. Andrew is originally from Montclair, NJ.

Laura Rong (she/her)
Choreographer

Laura is beyond thrilled to return to the Waldron! Last season, Laura had the privilege of serving as choreographer for Next to Normal and Charlie Brown, as well as playing Seasil in Finn. Most recently, Laura played Janie in the new work of Johnnie’s Song directed by George Pinney and Alex in Paul Bunyan Theatre’s On the Verge. Other favorite credits include: A Chorus Line (Swing), Reefer Madness (Mary), and Dance Nation (Ashlee). Upcoming, Laura will be a Dancer/Vocalist US in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s 40th Yuletide Celebration. For theatre, Laura is proudly represented by the Hell’s Kitchen Agency. Love and gratitude to her mentors, friends, family, and Thomas!

Boo! Seth Jacobsen is SO excited to be back at Constellation for this spooky-fun show! You might remember him as Santa/Ensemble in Constellation’s A Christmas Story last winter. Seth is a senior at IU studying musical theatre, and he’s originally from Carmel, Indiana. When he’s not on stage, Seth loves strumming his guitar and bass, and battling his friends in epic Wii showdowns! Next up, catch Seth as Rooster in Constellation’s production of Annie. Until then, grab your candy, hold onto your seat, and get ready for a spook-tacular Halloween!

Alexandra Dreszer (she/her)

Alexandra is so extremely excited to be making her Constellation and professional debut in Goosebumps!! Alex was born and raised in Miami, Florida and is a current junior at IU Bloomington studying to receive her BFA in Musical Theatre with a dual degree in English. Some recent and favorite roles of hers include Meg (Merrily We Roll Along), Julia (The Wedding Singer), The Witch (Into the Woods), and Evelyn Nesbit (Ragtime). Alex would like to thank her friends, family, IUMT, and the incredible cast and crew for all their love and support! She hopes you enjoy the show!!!

Katie Schuman (she/her)
Ms. Walker

A Bloomington native, Katie is thrilled to be making her Constellation debut in Goosebumps! Katie holds a BM in Music Theatre from Florida State University, where she played Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and served as music director for All-Night Yahtzee, the school’s premiere, award-winning coed a cappella group. Since then, she has taught and performed around Chicago and central Indiana. Her favorite shows and roles include the premiere (Lupe) and concert (Natalia) performances of La Casa Azul with the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, Spamalot (Lady of the Lake) and Little Women (Marmee) with the Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, and My Fair Lady (Ensemble) with Actors Theatre of Indiana. “Love to my family, especially to my kid, Lu. And Heath, you’re so good to me.”

Matt Trzaskus (he/him)
Emile

Matt Trzaskus is a Junior at Indiana University from West Lafayette, Indiana studying English and Theatre. His theatre career began 12 years ago when his grandma showed him The Sound of Music. He hasn’t looked back since. He loves The Notebook, Cherry Pepsi, and long walks on the beach. At IU, he appeared in Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, Cats Cradle, the Bacchae. He is a member of Boy in the Bubble Comedy and the Student Cinema Guild. He thanks his family, friends, directors, castmates, stage managers, crews, dog, and every other soul who supports him. He truly couldn’t do it without them.

Elliott is thrilled to be making his Constellation debut! A junior in the BFA Musical Theatre program at Indiana University Bloomington, his recent theatre credits include Annie (Variety KC), West Side Story (The White Theatre), and The Prom (IU Theatre). Recent film credits include The Militia (King Productions) & God Is Not Dead (Steiner Studios). Thanks to the cast, crew and creative team. And a big thank you to Gary for the endless support!
