With engaging courses in all areas of performing arts, there’s something for everyone! Learn something new, build confidence, and develop your skills in classes led by professional teaching artists.

For rising 1st-3rd graders, Theater Camp for Littles: The Lorax offers full-day, hands-on activities that encourage and promote the exploration and creation of theater arts in a fun, engaging camp environment. Summer Camp: Musical Theater Camp for Kids: The Little Mermaid (Rising Grades 4-8)

For rising 4th-8th graders, Musical Theater Camp for Kids: Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. dives into a magical, splashy, and fin-tastical adventure that explores the timely themes of self-discovery, sacrifice, and the search for belonging. Directed by Debby Jenkins, an accomplished veteran musical theater educator with expertise in music direction, campers will build skills in musicality, vocal performance, acting, movement, and stage etiquette as they are led through the beginning-to-end process of putting on a musical. For rising 4th-7th graders, Comedy Camp for Kids: The Zip Zap Zop Zone provides the perfect playground for the creative kid with an active imagination and undeniable funny bone, as well as the more introverted kid who just needs the right environment to be inspired to come out of their shell. This immersive and hands-on comedy camp will give budding comedians the opportunity to build improvisational skills and performance technique in a safe, fun, and collaborative environment. Summer Camp: Theater Camp for Kids: The Odyssey (Rising Grades 4-7)

For rising 4th-7th graders, Theater Camp for Kids: The Odyssey offers a hands-on, beginning-to-end experience of being in a play. Experienced professional teaching artists will guide campers through the process of auditioning, casting, table reads, table work, blocking and staging, rehearsing, adding technical elements (costumes, props, wigs, lights, sound), and performance. Join brave Odysseus on a legendary journey home as he outsmarts mighty gods and outruns mythical monsters in this epic, kid-friendly, high-seas adventure! Acting On Camera for Kids: Green Screen Screams! (Grades 3-5)

Step in front of the camera—and into a world of spooky screen magic! Constellation’s Acting On Camera for Kids: Green Screen Screams! is a fun, hands-on introduction to acting for the screen, with a special focus on performing in front of a green screen. Using kid-friendly scenes and scenarios inspired by spooky, Halloween-themed movies, students will learn how actors use imagination, focus, and technique to bring exciting screen moments to life. Classes will progress from short acting exercises and playful green screen challenges to a full filmed scene in front of the green screen. Final scenes will be edited and shared with students and families to enjoy. Improv: Beyond Beginner (Ages 18+)

Constellation’s Improv for Adults: Beyond Beginner is a fast-paced, highly interactive workshop-style class that reinforces and builds upon improvisational skills and performance techniques. This class will focus primarily on long-form improv, and is open to adults with previous improv experience* who have mastered the fundamentals. Improv is a magical and collaborative art form that is not only fantastically fun, it boosts creativity, develops storytelling ability, enhances listening and communication skills, and builds confidence and resilience. Acting Ensemble for Middles: Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask (Grades 6-8)

Actor beware—you’re in for a scare! Constellation’s Acting Ensemble for Middles: Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask (Grades 6–8) is a fast-paced and fun exploration of stage acting that will use an imaginative theatrical adaptation of R.L. Stine’s spooky, wildly popular Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask. Students will step into a suspenseful, high-energy story filled with eerie surprises, big characters, comic scares, and the creepy question of what happens when pretending to be someone else goes a little too far. Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty! Constellation’s Broadway Bound: Matilda In Concert (Grades 6–8) is a 10-week performance class that gives budding young actors and singers the opportunity to learn and workshop scenes and ensemble numbers from the smart, high-energy, and wildly theatrical Matilda the Musical. Inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved story, students will explore a world of clever kids, outrageous adults, big imagination, and the power of standing up for what is right. Theater Playground: Pigeons, Piggies, and Pals (Grades K-2)

Theater Playground: Pigeons, Piggies, and Pals is an introduction to theater arts for Littles in Grades K–2 and will focus on the fundamentals of storytelling through the playful, expressive, and laugh-out-loud world of Mo Willems-inspired characters and stories. From determined pigeons and dramatic best friends to lost stuffed animals, misunderstood monsters, and very surprising dinosaurs, students will explore stories filled with big feelings, silly problems, strong opinions, and joyful imagination. Acting Techniques: A Practical Survey (Ages 18+)

Explore the major acting techniques that have shaped modern performance in Constellation’s Acting Techniques: A Practical Survey, a hands-on, process-oriented course designed for adults who want to deepen their understanding of the actor’s craft. Whether you are brand new to acting, returning to the stage after time away, or looking to expand your existing toolkit, this 7-week class offers a practical introduction to several foundational approaches to performance. Each week, students will investigate a different acting method through discussion, guided exercises, partner work, and short text-based explorations. From Stanislavski’s “Magic If” to Meisner’s active listening, Stella Adler’s imagination work, Lee Strasberg’s sensory recall, Michael Chekhov’s physical technique, Uta Hagen’s object exercises, and Practical Aesthetics’ action-based scene analysis, this course invites actors to discover what works best for them while building greater truth, specificity, and confidence on stage. The Broadway Ensemble: The Human Heart (Ages 18+)

Come sing the best of Broadway in this 10-week performance class for adults! In Constellation’s The Broadway Ensemble: The Human Heart, students will learn and workshop dynamic repertoire from classic and contemporary Broadway musicals that explore the conditions of the human heart.  In addition to community-building and making new friends along the way, students will develop skills in stage etiquette, stage presence, musicianship, musicality, and vocal technique as they collaborate to bring musical numbers to life with exciting harmonies and light staging/choreography. Under the direction of a seasoned, professional coach/teaching artist and musical director, the class will culminate in a final performance that showcases the ensemble with ample opportunities for soloists to shine. Stranger Scenes & The Upside Down of Acting On Camera (Grades 6-8)

Constellation’s Stranger Scenes & The Upside Down of Acting On Camera is a 7-week on-camera acting class for Middles (Grades 6–8) that introduces students to the fun, creative, and technical skills actors use on film, television, and green screen sets. The Art of Physical Comedy (Ages 18+)

Discover the art of being funny without saying a word. Constellation’s The Art of Physical Comedy for adults is a playful, hands-on exploration of the essential principles required for great physical comedy: rhythm and timing, precision, stillness, exaggeration, and surprise. Through movement exercises, partner work, ensemble games, clown-inspired techniques, and silent storytelling, students will learn how the body can be used as a full, comic instrument. The class will focus on building confidence, sharpening physical awareness, and developing a personal comedy toolkit that can be applied to stage performance, character work, improvisation, and everyday theatrical play.
