A fun-filled classroom adventure where the audience gets to make all the decisions!

11-year-old Alex Gold needs to repeat the 6th grade – maybe he shouldn’t have spent so much time watching superhero movies, playing adventure games, and drifting off into his own action-packed daydreams. Luckily, Alex has surrounded himself with some trusted friends (you, the audience!) to help him make the best choices to succeed! This one-of-a-kind classroom comedy blends improv and audience interaction, proving every day is an opportunity for reinvention. Can you successfully guide Alex through this hilarious new show where every single performance offers different twists and turns?

In honor of this adventurous show, we invite you to CHOOSE YOUR OWN TICKET PRICE for all opening weekend performances! Book tickets for any of our opening weekend performances (April 26 – 28), and you’ll get to choose your own ticket price (from $5-$75). Just select your seats, then you’ll be prompted to choose your ticket price. Our Pay What You Will and Community Access Ticket programs are generously sponsored by Jessika and Bryan Hane.

 

Sensory Friendly Performance

Sunday, May 12 at 4:00pm

Constellation offers select sensory-friendly performances for our Constellation for Kids series. This special performance is designed to create a theater experience that is welcoming to all families with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities. Plus, tickets to Constellation’s Sensory-Friendly performances are Pay What You Will, meaning you get to choose your own ticket price (from $5-$75).

Accommodations for these performances include:

  • Lower sound level, especially for startling or loud sounds
  • Lights remain on at a low level in the theater during the performance
  • Elimination of any strobe or flashing light sequences
  • Patrons are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance
  • More space in theater seating area for standing and movement
  • Fidgets and noise canceling headphones welcome
  • Resource materials available online and at performances, so families know what to expect at the theater and during the show.

Jo Moran (he/her)
Alex Gold

Jo Moran is excited to make their acting debut with Constellation in Alex Gold: Stuck on Repeat. Jo recently worked with Monroe County Civic Theatre in their production of Henry IVth Part 2 and Jo’s voice can be heard in the PodCastle episode “And in Rain, Blank Pages.” Jo studied theatre at Indiana University, where they received a BA. In their free time, Jo can be seen streaming on Twitch and playing board games. Jo would like to thank their partner, Drew, and their son, Bastion for providing constant support and inspiration.

Tucker Ransom (he/him)
Thad Mazinsky

Tucker Ransom is a junior from Lebanon, Indiana pursuing an individualized major in Drama for Youth & Communities. His recent credits include Constellation Stage & Screen’s productions of Curious George The Golden Meatball! (Man with the Yellow Hat) and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! (Businessman/Hot Dog Vendor). With IU Theatre & Drama: Into the Woods (Steward) and Gross Indecency (Narrator). In late March, Tucker got to witness the premiere production of his original play Amusement Park on the Moon at Indiana University’s Studio Theatre, and in early February he released his third studio album titled haven’t learned a thing. Tucker would like to thank his people for always being there to support his theatrical ventures and for occasionally helping him memorize his lines!

Carolynn Stouder (she/her)
Morgan Bailey

Carolynn Stouder is thrilled to be making her Constellation Stage & Screen debut. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and Indiana University. She is currently playing “Marla” in an untitled series filming out of Indiana and Ohio and playing “Sarah” in a new film from the Falling Star Pictures team. She is a SAFD certified actor-combatant and looks forward to putting that to use in their action-packed thriller. Recent stage credits include: Greta Ohlsson (Murder on Orient Express), Shelby (Steel Magnolias), and Alice (You Can’t Take It With You). She just wrapped “The Worst Rockband in the Midwest” and looks forward to when the web series is out of post-production and she can share it! 1 Peter 4:10-11. Paul Daily (he/him)
Mr. McCurdle

Paul Daily grew up in Kokomo, IN, and began performing in community theater at the age of 10. He received a BA from Indiana University in 1998 where he double-majored in Theater and Drama and Sociology. After graduating from IU, Paul served as Associate Artistic Director for two theaters, including Rabbit Hole Ensemble, a company he co-founded and ran from 2005–2007. In 2010, Paul moved to Bloomington to become the Artistic Director of Ivy Tech’s John Waldron Arts Center. Since then, Paul has been a freelance actor and director, and currently teaches and directs at Bloomington High School North.

Dillon/Ensemble 

Kenny is excited to be back working with Constellation Stage * Screen on this awesome new production! Kenny has been in Bloomington for 5 years and has enjoyed the theatre scene in town. Recently Kenny was seen directing Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike for Monroe County Civic Theater, as well as being onstage in Mousetrap (Detective Trotter), Anne of Green Gables (Stationmaster/Mr. Phillips), and King Henry IV (Hotspur). Thanks for joining us on this heartwarming story of the woes and successes of middle school and the many paths our lives can take, we hope you enjoy the show!

Sophia Hoffman (she/her)
Diane/Ensemble

Sophia Hoffman is so excited to join Constellation for Alex Gold: Stuck on Repeat! A Bloomington native, Sophia previously worked with Constellation last fall in the absolutely bananas Curious George the Golden Meatball (Netti/Ensemble). Some of her favorite past performances: Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike (Nina) and Richard III (Anne) with Monroe County Civic Theatre, Angels in America Part I (Emily/The Angel), Trojan Women (Athena/Chorus), The Taming of the Shrew (Katharina), and The Wolves (#11) with DePauw University. Sophia plans to pursue a graduate degree in Arts Administration at the O’Neill School this coming fall.
