Ushering
Volunteer to usher and see the show for free!
For all our shows performed at the Waldron Arts Center and Ted Jones Playhouse, we will have online sign up forms for ushers to sign up for specific performances. This commitment requires you to be timely, well dressed, and courteous to our patrons. Ushers are required to arrive one hour prior to the start of a performance, wearing black bottoms and a white top.
Duties will include – but are not limited to – directing patrons to their assigned seats, handing out programs, assisting with accessible seating, and generally welcoming patrons and helping them enjoy their time with us. Ushers are encouraged to attend the show they are working at no cost, and may be asked to assist the box office attendant with post-show collection of donations and/or clean-up.
