Whatever you do, don’t let the Pigeon star in his own musical production!
It’s not easy being the Pigeon – you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Featuring an innovative mix of songs, and feathers, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is sure to get everyone’s wings flapping.

Sensory Friendly Performance

Sunday, May 14 at 4:00pm

Constellation offers select sensory-friendly performances for our Constellation for Kids series. This special performance is designed to create a theater experience that is welcoming to all families with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities.

Accommodations for these performances include:

  • Lower sound level, especially for startling or loud sounds
  • Lights remain on at a low level in the theater during the performance
  • Elimination of any strobe or flashing light sequences
  • Patrons are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance
  • More space in theater seating area for standing and movement
  • Fidgets and noise canceling headphones welcome
  • Resource materials available online and at performances, so families know what to expect at the theater and during the show

Cast

Yul Carrión (he/him)
Pigeon

Yul Carrión is very excited to be making his debut with Constellation Stage! He recently moved to Bloomington in the fall and is very happy to have accomplished his goal of getting to work with Constellation. He is also very excited to be adding another Mo Willems character to his resume, as he has also played the Elephant from Elephant and Piggie’s “We Are In A Play!”. Most recently, he was seen performing at Mill Mountain Theatre in a production of Holiday Inn as Ensemble/Lead Cover. Other recent credits include: Cedar Point (Street Squad Dancer), A Chorus Line (Don), and West Side Story (Pepe). He is very grateful for his family, old friends, and new friends at Uptown Cafe for all their love and support!

Sarah Cassidy (she/her)
Bus Driver

Sarah Cassidy is super excited to be making her officially official Constellation Stage & Screen/bus-driving debut! Sarah is from Bloomington, IN and a senior at Indiana University, graduating this May with a B.S. in Vocal Performance with an Outside Field in Musical Theatre. Past credits include Marcy Park (25th Annual…), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), Bridget Sullivan (Lizzie: The Musical), Judy Bernly (9 to 5: The Musical), and Mayor Matilda Hyde (All Shook Up). Upcoming for IU Summer Theatre: Cinderella’s Stepmother, Witch u/s (Into the Woods). Sarah’s first EP, Swimming Lessons, is available on all streaming platforms. Love always to Mom & Dad. Sarah hopes you enjoy the show!

Tucker Ransom (he/him)
Business Man/Hot Dog Vendor

Tucker Ransom is a sophomore from Lebanon, Indiana working on his undergrad at Indiana University with an individualized degree in Drama for Youth & Communities. Excitedly, this is his first production with Constellation, but his other recent performing credits include IU Theatre’s Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde (Narrator) and Bowling for Beginners (Himself), Summer Stock Stage’s We Will Rock You the Musical (Khashoggi), and various productions throughout central Indiana like Into the Woods (Jack), The Addams Family (Uncle Fester), and The Great Gatsby (Jay Gatsby/Tom Buchanan). In June 2022, Tucker had the great honor of producing and directing his original full-length musical Even When We’re Gone for audiences, and outside of the theatre world, Tucker is a second-year member of IU a-cappella group, Resting Pitch Face. He would like to thank his friends, family, and mom for undoubtedly coming to see this show multiple times.

Nikki Stawski (she/her)
Teenager/City Worker

Nicole (Nikki) Stawski is so excited to be making her professional debut at Constellation Stage & Screen! Nikki is a sophomore at Indiana University pursuing a double major in Theatre and Media Advertising. Some of her past credits include – The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Seussical: The Musical (Mayzie LaBird), Firebringer (Jemilla), Shakespeare in Love (Viola de Lesseps), and The Theory of Relativity (Caroline). In her free time, Nikki can be found doing freelance graphic design work, eating green apple flavored candy, and playing with her dog, Fozzie.

Sophia Linville (she/her)
Bus Engine/Puppy/Etc.

Sophia Lillette Linville has been passionate about the creative and performing arts for nearly her entire life. She has been active in music, the visual arts, performance arts and makes her own YouTube videos. For the past 4 years she has been an avid student of piano and competes in the International Piano Guild. Sophia is currently finishing up fifth grade as a homeschool student and is excited to begin middle school. Her favorite subjects are creative writing and poetry. She lives south of Bloomington not far from Lake Monroe with her parents, dogs, cats and Stanley, her pet snake.

Miriam Spillman
Little Old Lady/Duckling

Miriam Spillman is ecstatic to be making her stage debut during Constellation’s inaugural season. Always homeschooled, she feared throughout her long years of childhood that she’d never get a chance to do a “real” play, but just like Pigeon, she wouldn’t take no for an answer. She’d like to give a special shout-out to her sister Corrie, and to Miss Judy, the librarian who can make all good books– not just Pigeon– come alive.

Gracie Garza Harrison (she/her)
Pigeon/Bus Driver Understudy

Gracie Garza Harrison is a junior B.F.A. Musical Theatre major at Indiana University and is so excited to be making her official Constellation Stage & Screen debut. Previous credits include Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Lizzie (Lizzie), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Featured Ensemble, Helene u.s.) and more. She wants to thank her family and her IUMT family for supporting her every day!
