Elf the Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help everyone remember the true meaning of Christmas. Richard Roland (Director)

Richard has directed Hairspray, Chicago, Ragtime, Brigadoon, Secret Garden, She Loves Me, …Millie (New London NH), Avenue Q, 39 Steps, Urinetown, Barefoot In The Park, God Of Carnage, Steel Magnolias (Theatre Raleigh), 110 In The Shade, Dogfight, Metamorphoses (Penn State), Little Shop Of Horrors, …spelling Bee (Iust), Forever Plaid, Dear Ruth, among others. He served as Associate Director on the NYC premiere of Vanities, A New Musical and the Danish premiere of Story Of My Life. Born and raised in NYC, he appeared on Broadway In Follies, Scarlet Pimpernel, And Thoroughly Modern Millie, Off-Broadway And Tours In Titanic, The Fantasticks, Forever Plaid, Zombie Prom. TV: “All My Children,” “As the World Turns,” “Six Degrees.” He is Director of the B.F.A. in Musical Theatre program at IU where he directed City Of Angels, Wonderful Town, Big River, And …great Comet Of 1812. BFA, Denison University. MFA, Penn State. Member, SDC.

Luke is thrilled to be playing his dream role for Constellation Stage and Screen! A proud graduate of Indiana University’s B.F.A. Musical Theatre program, he now calls New York City home. Past credits include Lank Hawkins in Crazy for You, King Charles in Pippin, Snowboy in West Side Story, and multiple contracts as a singer and dancer for Cedar Fair Entertainment and RWS Entertainment Group. In NYC he has performed at cabarets at the Triad Theatre and Don’t Tell Mama. Huge thanks to Rich, Lauren, Brandon, and Kate. Love to Mom, Dad, and Granny. Happy Holidays!

Michelle Zink-Muñoz (Jovie)
She/her

Michelle Zink-Muñoz is thrilled to be back in Indiana performing with Constellation. Michelle is an alum of Indiana University’s musical theatre program. She was last seen in Cardinal Stage’s Swing into Spring Cabaret. Since leaving Bloomington, Michelle has worked with Weathervane Theatre (Sister Act, Spring Awakening), Alleyway Theatre (Screaming Into The Void), Out of the Box Theatrics (Secretos), and Penobscot Theatre Company (9 to 5). Much love to her friends and family for supporting her on this journey. Te quiero mucho.

Amanda Lawson (Biggs) (Emily)
She/her

Amanda Lawson (Biggs) is an internationally-prized opera singer from Bloomington, Indiana. In 2019, Amanda was a finalist in the New York Lyric Opera competition and performed the finals concert at Carnegie Hall. In 2019, she was selected to represent the US in the Nicola Martinucci International Voice Competition in Lucca, Italy. Amanda also placed third in the Gerda Lissner International Voice Competition in NYC. She received her training from Western Kentucky University and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Amanda has trained with Elizabeth Volkman, Aprile Millo, and Carol Vaness. Musical Theater credits include Madame de la Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast, Alison in Fun Home, Fantine in Les Miserables, Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Selma Steele in The Breeze Bends the Grass. Amanda performs regularly as a multi-genre performer throughout the world. Amanda lives with her wife Terra, sons Max and Miles, and three cats!

Eric Olson (Walter)
He/him

Eric is thrilled to make his Constellation debut, having appeared in Cardinal Stage’s Ada And The Engine and Fun Home. He Spent Two Years As Houdini In The First National Tour Of Ragtime, Has Appeared Off-Broadway, And In Regional Theatres Across America & Europe, Including Goodspeed Opera House, Trinity Repertory Company, Sacramento Music Circus, The Kennedy Center, Gateway Playhouse, Theatre By The Sea, The Falcon, And Disney’s Hyperion. In Indiana, Eric Has Appeared With Actors Theatre Of Indiana, Phoenix Theatre, Eclipse, Hart, and others, in shows including Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, Peter & The Starcatcher, Fun Home, American Idiot, Cabaret, And Many More. Film Credits Include Garry Marshall’s Raising Helen, Rosie’s Rescue, The Shower Singer, Ed/Ted, And Last Shift, due in theatres in 2023. Reid Walz (Michael)

Reid is in the fifth grade and absolutely thrilled for his debut performance with Constellation Stage and Screen. He was most recently on stage playing the role of Nachum and a part of the ensemble in his school’s production of Fiddler On The Roof. Reid has a love for theatre but is also equally passionate about music and playing ukulele. Reid would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him in pursuing his dreams, and he hopes you too become a believer!

Lila Parker (Michael Alternate

Lila Parker is thrilled to be making her debut with Constellation Stage & Screen. Some of her favorite stage acting credits include Horton the Elephant (Seussical: The Musical) with Stages Bloomington and Chip (Beauty and the Beast) with The Little Theatre of Bedford. Lila has also been studying solo vocal performance for five years. When she’s not performing, she enjoys singing in her middle school choir and playing a variety of instruments including ukulele, guitar, piano, and trumpet. She has many other interests, such as script writing, sketching, playing basketball, watching Stephen King movies, and reading novels.

Amanda Fawell (Deb)

Amanda is a fourth-year IU student pursuing her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and Minor in Creative Writing. Ray Fellman, Professor for IU’s BFA in Musical Theatre Program, for Constellation (formerly Cardinal Stage Co): Souvenir as Cosme McMoon, Old Wicked Songs (Jewish Theatre of Bloomington), and Falstaff (IU Opera Theatre). Singer with Florida Grand, New Orleans, Glimmerglass, Chautauqua, and Utah Festival Opera companies, and regular music director at the Fulton Theatre and Maine State Music Theatre. Conductor for A Little Night Music starring Sylvia McNair at the Indiana Repertory Theatre and the Ecuadorian premieres of Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd and West Side Story at the Teatro Nacional Sucre in Quito. NYC credits: Stephen Schwartz’s Captain Louie (Little Schubert Theater/National Tour); BCEFA Easter Bonnet Competition (Minskoff Theatre), 22 Caliber Mouth by Lauren Robert directed by Diane Paulis (Ohio Theater); numerous workshop readings at The York Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, Dramatists Guild, The Zipper, The Hudson Guild and the O’Neill National Music Theatre Conference. Voice coaching credits: Twentieth Century Fox film Joy starring Jennifer Lawrence and Edgar Ramirez, Ben is Back starring Julia Roberts. Love to Scott and our children Monty and Cy!

Tom Slater (Greenway, Walter Understudy)
He/him

Tom Slater studied theatre and dance at the University of Southern California. He began competing as an amateur ballroom dancer in college, eventually turning pro, adding teacher/choreographer to his repertoire. During his career he has had many unique experiences, dancing for Bob Hope, the President and First Lady Clinton, and President Gerald Ford. He performed alongside superstars Suzanne Somers, Vic Damone, Louise Mandrell, Charo, and danced personally with the super-talented, Juliet Prowse on national television. Tom is a World Exhibition Champion, a style of ballroom dance where overhead lifts are encouraged. Tom has worked with Constellation on 6 shows: Mary Poppins, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, The Great Gatsby, Charlotte’s Web, and Ada and the Engine. He is the owner of YOUnique Studio, http://youniquestudio.com, a dance studio and hair salon which specializes in a boutique experience.

Kabir Gandhi is a fourth-year BFA Musical Theatre major and Business minor at the Kelley School. Some of his credits include – for Sierra Repertory Theatre: The Little Mermaid (Chef Louis), Shboom! Kate Glaser (Ensemble/Swing)
She/her

Kate Glaser (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of her first production with Constellation. She is a senior at IU studying for her BFA in Musical Theatre and Minor in Arts Management. Kate also currently serves as the Artistic Director of University Players, IU’s primary student-run theatre organization. Her latest projects include acting as Assistant to the Producer for the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute’s 15th anniversary season, assisting choreographer Jackie Comisar on the CAPA Marquee Awards, and assistant directing alongside Brodway’s Jerry Dixon on an original musical called Modern. Recent credits include: The Great Comet (Marya), The Threepenny Opera (Betty), Little Women (Aunt March), Company (Joanne).

Sydney Greene (Ensemble)

Sydney is so excited to be spending another holiday season with Constellation Stage & Screen after performing in A Year With Frog And Toad last winter. She is a junior Musical Theatre Major and Arts Management Minor at Indiana University. For Woodstock Playhouse: Beauty And The Beast (Belle), Cabaret (Rosie), Footloose (Urleen). For IU Theatre: Carrie (Helen/ Carrie U/S), Murder Ballad (Narrator), Into The Woods (Rapunzel). Cynthia Kauffman is thrilled to be spending her holiday season here at Constellation! Cynthia is a senior earning her BFA in Musical Theatre at Indiana University. While this is her first production here at Constellation she has been seen performing on other stages around Indiana including Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre, (Sound of Music, The Addams Family), Eclipse Theatre (Cabaret) and Summer Stock Stage (Thoroughly…Millie). Shannon O’Connor Starks (Ensemble/Emily Understudy)

Shannon O’Connor Starks is excited be a part of Constellation Stage & Screen’s inaugural season. For Cardinal Stage, Flat Stanley (Mrs. Lambchop), The Christians (Wife), Oliver! (Mrs. Corney), Elephant and Piggie’s We Are in a Play! (Squirrel #2), Mary Poppins (Mrs. Brill), Shrek the Musical (Mama Ogre/Mama Bear), and Les Miserables (Ensemble). Shannon has also appeared in independent films, voice acting projects, and staged readings around Bloomington. Along with acting, she is an Arts Educator for Constellation Stage & Screen, teaching drama at Fairview Elementary and leading drama clubs at various MCCSC schools, and a freelance editor.

Maya Owens (Ensemble, Deb Understudy)
She/her

Maya Owens is so excited to be a part of this joyful show! She is currently a third-year Musical Theatre major at Indiana University. She was born and raised in London and then moved to Charlotte, NC. This summer, she performed in If Pretty Hurts Ugly Must be a Muhucka (Adama) at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte. She was on the IU mainstage this year in Everybody (Somebody) as well as last year in Carrie (Freida) and the Well of Horniness (Narrator). She was also a co-host on the local PBS kids’ show, Friday Zone! Before IU theatre, she performed in Peter and the Starcatcher (Smee) at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She would like to thank her family who always makes the trek to watch her perform!

Luke Swaller (Ensemble)

Luke is a current senior at Indiana University, pursuing his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. He is from St. Louis, Missouri! Notable credits include: Ruby/Dance Captain – The Threepenny Opera, Ensemble- Carrie The Musical, Balaga/Asst. Choreographer- Great Comet of 1812 (Indiana University), Elijah – Modern (Bloomington Playwrights Project), and spent his summer as a contracted Dancer with the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre.
