Shock Treatment (1981)
It’s not a sequel… it’s not a prequel… it’s an equal!
If you’re mad for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you need some serious Shock Treatment. Original Rocky creators Richard O’Brien and Jim Sharman, are back, with a host of familiar faces including O’Brien and Patricia Quinn, with newcomers Jessica Harper and Cliff De Young in roles of Janet and Brad Majors. When their strained marriage is put to the test on a popular Denton TV show, Poor Brad is institutionalized, and Janet is given a radical makeover and primed for stardom. But what are the real motivations behind the kooky DTV crew and their enigmatic head-honcho, Farley Flavors? With an insanely catchy rock score, Shock Treatment is an under-appreciated gem and more-than-deserving of the same legendary cult status of its predecessor.
Calling all Rocky Horror fanatics! Put your knowledge to the test with our pre-screening Trivia contest! The winning Transylvanian will leave Denton with a special door prize.
